Level 3. Wu Yuan Zhuang - One Hunyuan energy, five Zang organs

The English name of the exercise is one Humyuan energy of the five Zang organs. Exercise Wu Yuan Zhuang increases and harmonizes Qi internal organs; proper and regular work out improves health and gives strength.

Wu Yuan Zhuang acts directly on Qi five internal organs. The relationship of emotions and the condition of internal organs is worth emphasizing. The organs in question are: heart (Xin), liver and spleen (Gan), pancreas (Pi) and kidneys (Shen). We note that in Zhineng Qigong and the science of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver (Gan) is the equivalent of the liver and spleen in Western medicine.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong Theories, the five organs listed above are inseparably associated with emotions. Chinese medics have always, in their holistic approach to diseases, focused not only on the physical, but also on the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. Chinese medicine takes into account especially five emotional states affecting the health and functioning of our body. These emotions are of great importance in the work of individual human organs. And so the heart is associated with joy, the liver and spleen with anger, the pancreas with anxiety, the lungs with sadness and the kidneys with fear. The five internal organs are also associated with mental activity. The heart correlates with consciousness (mentality, thinking and feeling). The liver and spleen are connected to the soul (the humoral and spiritual aspect of man). The lungs are related to the essence of the soul (the conscious part of the human mind). The pancreas is in relation to the creation of ideas (yi- action or the power of thinking and forming ideas). The kidneys determine the will of man (the human physical power directing his thoughts or actions). The practice of Wu Yuan Zhuang (Form Five and One) strengthens Qi of internal organs and stabilizes mental activity of man.

Xing Shen Zhuang (Body and Mind Form) unites skin, muscles, blood bodies and bones. Wu Yuan Zhuang (Form Five and One) combines Qi internal organs and mental activities. The practice of internal hunyuan increases the ability to direct the functions of the human body independent of the will. For example, an advanced practitioner will be able to control his heartbeat, blood pressure and bowel movements with his will. Through the penetration of Qi into the body, man’s relationship with nature will be immeasurably strengthened.
